I have been wanting to try this product for such a long time now. I have always just cleaned my brushes with items around the house (i know, naughty me) but have been wanting something that i can clean them with each and every day that will also sterilise them! In comes the MAC Brush Cleanser!
At $20 a bottle it is quite pricey, but i have had mine for about a month now (being used every day) and as you can see i haven’t made much of a dent in it yet! The bottle is 235ml which i was concerned about, but it’s a lot more product than it seems!
As i mentioned above i clean my brushes every. single. day. This may seem a bit excessive to some, but the amount of bacteria that is sitting in the brushes is ridiculous. I have found that by cleaning my brushes with this every day i have actually reduced the amount of blemishes that i’ve been getting! It helps to stop the spread of bacteria, and I’m pretty happy with anything that will help to clear up my skin!
The MAC Brush Cleanser also dries super fast, so on days that i
couldn’t be bothered forgot to clean my brushes i will do it quick smart and leave them for about 15 mins and voila! They are good to go! The back of the bottle recommends that you “Apply to damp brushes and work through. Rinse well.”, however, i like to just pour a small amount into the palm of my hand and swirl my brushes around in the cleanser. I then wipe them onto a paper towel to remove the remaining makeup and repeat until they come off clean! This is easy on powder and eyeshadow brushes, but i find that brushes used with cream products take a bit more time.
The only thing that i can say for this is that it would be much more convenient if it had been made in a pump-type of bottle as i find i waste a lot of the product just pouring it out!
Please let me know if you’ve tried the MAC Brush Cleanser and if you loved it or hated it, and of course don’t forget to click subscribe to keep up to date with my posts!
Thanks Lovelies! Xox
