Must-read books

It’s no secret that I am an absolute book nerd and I’m proud of it! I would much rather curl up and sink in to a good book than mindlessly stare at the TV. I have a ridiculously large collection now and am in serious need of buying a bigger book shelf (partly because I want to decorate it to look gorgeous too!). These are the books that I have been loving recently!

My Story – Marilyn Monroe

I don’t know any girl who isn’t completely awed at the beauty of Norma Jean, or Marilyn Monroe! We all know who she was, but we don’t really know much about her life. She was a girl with normal struggles who’s death was a huge waste of some serious talent. This book started my obsession with learning more about her, it’s very informative and I would recommend it to anybody who wants to learn a bit more about the beauty that was Marilyn.

Steve Jobs – Walter Isaacson

Steve Jobs, what an amazing man. There are so many things that I have learned about him, and this is one book that I will recommend to absolutely anybody who is even slightly interested in the evolution of technology. This book is researched so well that it almost makes you feel as though you knew him, and it really made me appreciate his talent and his products.

The Help – Kathryn Stockett

The Help is an amazing story of fighting racial discrimination, and it is also hilarious! I read this (unfortunately) after I had already seen the movie, but I always think that the book is so much better! If you have, or haven’t seen the movie then I would still pick up this beauty. It’s so lighthearted whilst putting you in somebody else’s shoes.

My Booky Wook – Russell Brand

Last but certainly not least, Russell Brand’s book. I have both of his autobiographies and they only serve to make me love him more! They provide insight into the life of Russell Brand and his struggles as a young adolescent. He certainly does not hold back and speaks openly about his addictions, and how he came to be the man he is today. If you’ve seen any of his movies of comedy you will know the way that he speaks, and this book is written exactly the same. He rambles and gets off topic, and I think it’s absolutely fantastic!

Have any of you read these books or have you got any recommendations for me? I’m always on the search for something new and exciting! Don’t forget to click ‘follow’ to keep up updates via email!

Thanks Lovelies! Xox
